Our Mission
The Highbridge Green Middle School is a community school founded by parents and community members. We are a rigorous, college preparatory school that prepares students for high school and beyond.
We believe that every child deserves access to an excellent education, regardless of their background. Our dedicated team of educators works tirelessly to ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support to reach their full potential.
Through our comprehensive academic programs, enrichment activities, and supportive community environment, we empower students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens.
Our History
The Highbridge Green School opened in 2013 after years of lobbying by community groups who wanted a high-quality middle school option in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx.
In 2016, Advocates for Children identified us as a model school for instruction for children with dyslexia and reading difficulties in their report "A is for All."
In 2019, working with Bronx Lacrosse, both our boys and girls teams won the Middle School championships, making history for our school and community.
Today, we continue to serve our community with pride, maintaining our commitment to academic excellence and nurturing the whole child.

Innovative environmental features provide hands-on STEM learning opportunities.
Hydroponic Greenhouse
Students grow vegetables year-round using modern hydroponic technology, learning about sustainable agriculture.

Principal
Mr. Brillante has led our school since it opened in 2013. A former Teach for America member, he is committed to ensuring every student receives an excellent education.
